Karl Anthony Duguid is an English footballer who plays primarily as a midfielder
for Colchester United
.
He began his career with Colchester United
and made his senior debut in 1995. He helped the club win promotion to the Second Division
in 1998, via the play-offs
, and the Championship
in 2006, by which time he had been made captain. He joined Plymouth Argyle
on a free transfer in 2008 and made 115 appearances in all competitions during his three years with the club, scoring 3 goals. Having been released by Argyle during the summer of 2011, Duguid returned to Colchester United on a one-year contract.
Duguid has had some injuries, including a knee injury which ruled him out of the whole 2004–05 season. He returned as captain, playing a key role in achieving promotion to the Football League Championship
