Sandoval started in the guitar business by working at Fender in the 1970s. He then moved onto working at Charvel’s Guitar Custom Shop in Covina, California, where luthier Wayne Charvel taught Sandoval the basics of guitar repair and creation. He started his own business repairing guitars in 1979 and is still in business today.
