. The board is established by relevant acts and laws applicable. The board works for control of air, water and envoirnmental pollution. Certain projects meeting certain parameters have to compulsorily get approval from KPSCB.From past 17 years Kannada Language Tabloid " PARISARA MALINYA " (PLANET's First & No 1 Environmental Tabloid in Kannada) is working along with the board by conducting awareness programme karnataka statewide to school children and to people of karnataka state,and in the year 2002-2003 with the help of KARNATAKA STATE POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD,PARISARA MALINYA's Editor Mr.G.SRINIVASAN conducted a very huge Awareness programme " PLASTIC FREE LALBHAG & PLASTIC FREE CUBBON PARK " Which was very popular in those days.
