The name from the wealth storage space of the king Musugundan
who formed the community. Kasu in Tamil
means money and kadu means forest. Kasangadu development was due in large part by R. Viswanathan who dedicated his life with support of aiya. Thambiaiya velalar(maniyar) and career to the village.
Kasangadu has two Government Primary schools and one Higher Secondary school. The sale of smoking items, drugs and alcohol is prohibited in the shops or elsewhere in the village. The village contains the Mariyamman, Ayyanar, Subramaniyar, and Muniyan Kovil temples.
Kasangadu have a very well performed government schools both primary and secondary schools. More peoples have been settled in foreign countries like Singapore
