Katherine Tudor was the eighth and last child of King Henry VII of England
and Elizabeth of York
. She was born at the Tower of London
and died shortly after her birth.
Elizabeth of York did not survive long after Katherine's death. Still grieving for her eldest son, Arthur
, who had died shortly before she became pregnant, Elizabeth succumbed to a post-pregnancy infection on 11 February 1503, her thirty-seventh birthday.
