Coach Liubov Serebrianskaya was sick with cancer

 and could not attend the gym as often as before. Pisetsky's parents planned to move her to a different country. Her coach opposed the move, but the preparation for immigration had begun. Pisetsky had previously competed in Israel in 1999.

Pisetsky won the 2002 Israeli Cup. Her first international competition representing Israel was the Thias Grand Prix where she was ranked 24th in the All-Around. At the European Championship in Granada

Her first major competition was Israel was the 2002 European Championships. At that competition, she placed 13th in the All-Around and was the best-placing Israeli gymnast of the event. She also competed at the 2003 European Championships, where only the top 15 best European gymnasts compete.
