In 2010 she won two awards from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and partook in a 6 week artist residency as part of the 2010 Berlin Biennale. In 2011 Smyth became an official member of the Belfast Print Workshops, Belfast. Smyth is currently a Co-Director at Catalyst Arts, Belfast, where she will work on the board for two years, until September 2013.
