, and of his wife Kaakaualani, the daughter of Laninui-a-Kaihupee and his wife Kauhiiliula-a-Piilani, the daughter of Piilani. When his father, Kakuhihewa, died, the office and dignity of Moi of Oahu descended to Kanekapu, Kauakahi's eldest brother. In other respects the island of Oahu appears to have been divided between the three oldest brothers, Kanekapu, Kaihikapu-a-Kakuhihewa, and Kauakahinui-a-Kakuhihewa.
