Keith Sebelius Lake is a man-made reservoir
located 2.5 miles (4 km) upstream from Norton, Kansas
on the high plains of northwest Kansas. It is filled by the Prairie Dog Creek. It was built and is still operated by the Bureau of Reclamation for purposes of flood control, supplying water to the city of Norton, and irrigation.
The lake is bordered to its northeast and southeast by the Prairie Dog State Park; providing 1150 acres (465.4 ha) of recreational activities including hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. Attractions of the park include a living prairie dog community and the last standing original adobe house in Kansas.
