LEED Certification
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction. The building received 37 points and meetings the qualification's for the Silver rating (33- 38 points). In part during the construction of the building 40 percent of the materials used came from regional sources. Also the materials used had a high recycled content and over 50 percent of scraped materials were not sent to landfills.The building was designed to conserve water both inside and out.
