Chart performance
The album reached a peak of #19 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart. It also reached #92 on The Billboard 200 chart on May 3, 1997. The album contained a large portion of midtempo soul songs and romantic ballads. Five of the songs were co-written by Lattimore."Never Too Busy" cracked the Top 20 of the R&B charts and spurred the album to gold sales. "For You" made an even higher impact reaching #6 on the R&B charts. The album made such a splash for Lattimore that he was nominated that year for the Best Male R&B Artist Grammy the following year.
