Under the still-developing KRM Line plans, it would become a southern terminus for commuter rail between Kenosha and Milwaukee

Though Kenosha Station pre-dates the Civil War
, it was restored in the period between 2004 and 2006. Metra does not have a ticket office there, and the waiting room currently serves as dining area for a fast food restaurant.
