Route description
KY 167, a rural secondary highway as classified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, runs for almost exactly 20 miles (32.2 km) from Monticello to the Kentucky/Tennessee border, where, upon entering Tennessee, the road is known as Tennessee Route 154. The terrain is mountainous, and the two-lane road is unpaved in spots, and travelers are cautioned to take their time and to remain alert while driving it: the 20 miles (32.2 km) route takes approximately one hour to drive because of these factors.Unincorporated communities along the route include Number One, Wray Gap, Cooper, Sumpter and Mount Pisgah.
