Kevin Abley was an Australian rules football
er who played in the South Australian National Football League
with the Glenelg Football Club.
Kevin Abley was born on the 24th of March, 1935, in Box Hill, Victoria
, Australia. He came to Adelaide in the early stages of 1950 when he was 15 years of age. He lived with his family which included his brother, and Port Adelaide Magpie legend John Abley
. He played 176 games for Glenelg, mainly at full-back and represented South Australia (On 4 occasions) in the state of Origin series against his home state of Victoria.
When Abley made the move to Adelaide, South Australia, in 1950 (aged 15) He searched around several clubs across the SANFL and eventually chose to stay with the Glenelg Tigers

Career wise, Abley's first job was as an insurance broker for "Holdfast Insurance Brokers" a small business based at Glenelg.
Abley did his National Service at the age of 18 (1953) at the Warradale Barracks, and was transferred to Broken Hill, New South Wales
after 1 years service.

Early Careers
Abley played most of his Junior Football in Victoria. He took up football at a young age, and by the age of 13; Abley was playing for the Box Hill's U18's team.
