Kevin Ryan is an Irish
hurling
manager
and former player. He is the current manager of the Carlow
senior hurling teams.
Ryan enjoyed a hugely successful playing career at club level with Mount Sion and at inter-county level with Waterford
. He played in all grades with the latter team throughout the 1980s, however, he enjoyed little success with 'the Déise'.
Following his retirement from hurling Ryan immediately became involved in team management. He served as a selector under Justin McCarthy
on the Waterford senior hurling team while also having successful tenures as manager of the Mount Sion and Oulart the Ballagh clubs. Ryan was appointed manager of the Carlow senior hurling team in November 2008. He led Carlow to back-to-back Christy Ring Cup
