footballer who is unattached. Harte is a composed centre-midfielder and a highly regarded young footballer.

Harte made his Shelbourne
debut on March 9, 2007 in a league fixture against Kildare County
at Tolka Park
, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Kieran scored his first Shelbourne
goal in a 3-2 away defeat to Limerick 37 at Jackman Park on June 29, 2007. Harte was regular in the Shelbourne during the 2007 season where he made a total of 26 league and cup appearances. As the 2007 season progressed regular first team football became increasingly difficult to obtain for Harte after a mid season influx of signings into the Tolka Park
club. Harte was released at the end of the 2007 season by Shelbourne. He made 26 league and cup appearances and scored one goal during the 2007 Season
for Shelbourne. Harte did not return to UCD and signed for Kildare County for the 2008 season. Harte struggled to break into County's starting eleven due to persistent injuries restricting the midfielder to 8 appearances before Harte and Kildare County mutually agreed to part ways on July 14, 2008.
A further achievement for Harte's career was captaining the Irish University Football squad at the 2007 World University Games

In June 2010 Harte was on the winning POFS team that beat AIB 3 - 1 in the Interbanks soccer final at UCD.
