Kinetik Control is a Finnish rock band formed in 2004 by the composer and lyricist Sauli Vuoti. The band's sound used to incorporate electronic elements to rock and pop music, but nowadays the music is more rock oriented. Kinetik Control has released six singles, one EP and two full length albums. Kinetik Control's most known songs are ”The Mutt”, ”No-One Knows About Us”, "All Fours" and "Chinese Medicine", which features Michael Monroe as a guest musician.
The musical style on the EP can be described as pop/rock with gothic influences. Although drum loops and sequenced synthesizers are frequently used, the main element of the music is the vocal melodies. The lyrics deal mostly with relationships and greediness and selfishness of mankind. In contrast to the original plans, the EP was released in electronic format only, although a limited edition of 100 copies was pressed. However, the EP brought some raised eyebrows in Europe as Metal Hammer
(UK) chose the group as the newcomer of the month in October 2007.

In 2007 Kinetik Control inked a deal with Bonnier Amigo Music Group and the recordings of the debut album, Lack of Divine Inspiration, were initiated in October 2007. The album was recorded in Studio Kinetik and in Finnvox-studios. The collaboration with Mikko Karmila didn’t go as expected and consequently, the album was mixed by Arto Tuunela (Major Label
) at Finnvox-studios. The album was released in Finland in May 2008.
Even though the musical style of ‘’Lack of divine Inspiration’’ is very close to ‘’Enslaving the Audio’’, the song material and expression had taken a big leap for the better. The title of the record depicts the modern world where superficial attributes such as money
, materialism
and egoism
are dominating features. The lyrics delt with relationships and the morbid lust for money, power, and success. The song ”Vanguard of the New World” was released as a single in 18 November and on its release week it topped both the Official Finnish Donwload Chart and the Official Finnish Single Chart. A music video for the song was also filmed.
In summer 2008 the band underwent several line-up changes. Jukka Vehkala (Jack Tragedy) joined the band as a session guitarist. Also, the drummer Mika Salmi (Medusa) was fired and his replacement was Vassilis Koskinas. Koskinas was recruited a session member only until late 2009 as Jarkko Luukkonen, a drummer of Tweak’s late Snakescale Triarchy band, was the final replacement for Medusa. In Autumn 2008 the band made a distributing contract with CMM Marketing / Enorm Music and Lack of Divine Inspiration was released in Europe 28 October 2008. During the latter part of the year 2008 the band played shows extensively in Finland.

Kinetik Control finished the recordings of the new album in October 2009. The album was mixed by Jyrki Tuovinen at Fried Music in Helsinki and it was mastered by Svante Forsbäck. Michael Monroe appears as a special guest on the album, performing on several songs.
The first single of the album, ”In This Life” was released in April 2010, and it went directly on the 4th position of the Finnish Download Chart. In August 2010 the band released the 2nd single “All Fours” as a free download on the web pages of one of the largest TV-stations of Finland, MTV3. The 2nd album "Only Truth Remains" was released 29.11 and it entered the official Finnish album chart and conquered the first place of the independent music chart. The album got good reviews, for
example 5/5 in the largest music magazine in Finland, Soundi. The 2nd single "All Fours" stayed on Swedish Radio's Finska Pinnar program's chart for ten weeks in a row. Kinetik Control also toured Finland extensively during the first part of 2011. The band also acquired a new lineup, when guitarists Andy Velin and Miro S. Kontio joined the band in October 2010.
Vuoti’s lyrics deal mostly with things and phenomena experienced in surrounding world, including apocalyptic visions if mankind won’t change its self-destructive course. He sees himself as merely an observer, not as a participant or judge. The aim of the lyrics is to make people stop and thinkthings over for a while.
The music video for the song “Vanguard of the New World” was directed by Ahti Ahde. The video was shot in Helsinki
during spring 2008. The theme of the video follows closely the subjects of the record and the lyrics, namely the grip of money and power over the modern day man.

Early days (2004-2006)
Kinetik Control was founded in 2004 as Sauli Vuoti (Tweak) and Toni Raehalme (Dexter) frustrated to narrow-mindedness and sectarianism begun to write music together with the aim to combine electronic and pop overtones to heavy metal and rock music. Their goal was to write honest and diverse music that everyone could listen to despite the ever-limiting genre boundaries.Enslaving the Audio (2006)
The group’s first EP, ‘’Enslaving the Audio’’, was recorded in Oulu at Q-Studio and in the group’s own Studio Kinetik during winter 2006. The EP was mixed and mastered by Mikko Karmila at Finnvox-studios. The band started the year 2009 with a short tour in Switzerland supporting the local band, Draven, and played several shows in Finland during thewinter. Musical style
The music of Kinetik Control can be described as pop/rock with plethora of electronic influences. Even though sometimes also associated with metal music, Vuoti sees the sometimes heavier guitar sound as the only confluence between Kinetik Control and heavy metal. The band itself sees their music as a mixture of pop and rock music.Vuoti’s lyrics deal mostly with things and phenomena experienced in surrounding world, including apocalyptic visions if mankind won’t change its self-destructive course.
