Kingsway Station is a future LRT
station on the planned line to NAIT
of the Edmonton
LRT
system. The station will be located adjacent to the Royal Alexandra Hospital
on the north side of Kingsway Avenue.
Preliminary engineering of the line was completed in July 2009 with construction of the phase from the MacEwan Station
to NAIT to begin in the summer of 2011. The line is estimated to cost around $755 million with a completion date set for April 2014.
