Lady Kinvara Clare Rachel Balfour (born 1975), second daughter of Roderick Francis Arthur Balfour, 5th Earl of Balfour
, and a niece of the Duke of Norfolk
, is an English playwright, novelist, fashion commentator and performer.
Dazed & Abused, her first play, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2004, where it was completely sold out during its three-week run. It later transferred to London and New York where Diane von Fürstenberg
made her studio theatre available for the production. She has also acted, performed and written other works. She has had a successful career as a fashion commentator and trend analyst, and since her work as fashion editor of the Saturday Telegraph, now runs the London wing of the U.S. company DailyCandy.com.
In early 2009 she married Riccardo Lanza, an event organiser and property specialist based in London and Venice, at the Duke of Norfolk's family seat, Arundel Castle. According to an April 2011 Daily Mail article by Richard Kay, the couple has separated.
