Kitsune Kon's first convention was held in the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel of Appleton, Wisconsin on February 25-27, 2011.
The six friends who had made this event a reality include, but are not limited to, Mitch Muenster, Michelle Rieckmann, Rachelle Kirk, Mike Nettekoven, Katelynn Schroeder and Christa Vanderheiden. With knowledge that expands from internet technology to business to culinary arts, experience was all they needed.
Since the first convention in 2011, Kitsune Kon directors are expecting it to grow to approximately 1,500 in the next year.

Kitsune Kon was originated by six (6) friends from Fox Valley Technical College of Appleton, Wisconsin. With an immence amount of love towards anime, they decided to begin their journey to help out the local anime fans by giving them exactly what they wanted; an anime con close to home!The six friends who had made this event a reality include, but are not limited to, Mitch Muenster, Michelle Rieckmann, Rachelle Kirk, Mike Nettekoven, Katelynn Schroeder and Christa Vanderheiden. With knowledge that expands from internet technology to business to culinary arts, experience was all they needed.
