In the 19th century, Bogomolovskoye deposit of copper pyrites was opened. The name by the name of gold-Bogomolov, in the mines which it was stored.
In 1925, in connection with the beginning of development Krasnogvardeysky deposits of copper ore and the construction of smelter, the settlement of Bogomolstroy was founded. In 1929 it was renamed Uralmedstroy. In 1931, the smelter was commissioned.
In 1931, Krasnouralsk was granted work settlement
status.

History
It was established in 1832 with the discovery of gold.In the 19th century, Bogomolovskoye deposit of copper pyrites was opened. The name by the name of gold-Bogomolov, in the mines which it was stored.
