at which time the site became crown property.
Lade Church dates from ca. 1190.
The present farmbuildings were erected in 1811 at the direction of Hilmar Meincke Krohg
. The farm was purchased by the City of Trondheim in 1917. During the period 1922-1960, Norges Teachers College was in the buildings. Lade farm was acquired by the Reitangruppen in 1992. The buildings were restored and became their headquarters in 1995.

way, was built from Lade to Prinsen's Street, but the line was closed with the rest of the Trondheim Tramway
in 1988, because Trondheim city did not have enough funding to keep it going. Some sections have not been removed and can still be seen.
Lade also have one of Trondheims only beaches. Due to the nature and location of Lade the property and housing prices is known to be average 20% higher than rest of the city. The recent years Lade have been attractive to young people with a stabile and good economy therefore you don't see many students or immigrants living here. A regular condo apartment can go for over 4 million Norwegian Kroner. And a Villa with sea view can easily go for 10 million +.
Lade have many local famous people living there. Per Ciljan Skjelbred age 23 is one of the new young successful football players that have made his choice to build his 10 million kroner villa there. But you also have the multi millionaires like The Reitan group and Øyvind Christensen that also have their home address in Korsvika, Lade.
