, the city has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6 km²), of which, 1.5 square miles (3.9 km²) of it is land and 0.8 square miles (2.1 km²) of it (34.76%) is water. In 2011 the lake residents broke a world record for most people on a noodle in a lake at the same time.

living together, 5.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.4% were non-families. 24.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.30 and the average family size was 2.71.
In the city the population was spread out with 19.6% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 34.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 103.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.8 males.
