For this purpose engineer P. A. Avenarius in 1894 under own project has constructed Lakhtyinsky crossover.
It was the 200-metre pile bridge which was settling down to in parallel Lahtinsky dam on which there was an overland road.
Near to the bridge Shunting loop Dum and Shunting loop 2 verst has been arranged.
Bridge was a considerable construction of time and has been opened on July, 12th 1894.
Сatastrophic flooding of on September, 23rd 1924 has completely destroyed the bridge and it has been restored in 1925 on that place where exists now.
As of 2009 on this place is metal one-flying deck girder bridge, which basis is the box-shaped beam on stone coastal foundations.
