Lamit Company is an independent satellite operator company in Europe, operating worldwide. The company provides satellite internet and telephony to primary schools and high schools from five continents. Lamit also helps companies extend their activities all over the world, by using satellite connectivity and secured VPNs. On this purpose Lamit developed its own server platform named Lamit 2Pro.

Marine Satellite services and coverage

The company manages and operates different capacities on multiple satellites and provides fully mobile marine connection solutions. The new types of services are more efficient for different types of large commercial or cruising vessels.

Lamit Company also provides services for yachts which are also applicable to small vessels, ferry boats or fishing vessels. This new service brings better technical performance and also give the possibility to the private owners to use the service for only 4 months/year (mostly the summer period when the yachts really needs satellite service).
The fleet can be constantly connected to the desired terrestrial network or to other vessels, allowing the development and centralization of on board applications. The VSAT maritime solution allows the crew and passengers to use Internet, exchange e-mails, phone with VoIP system, Fax, use mobile or standard phones and other evolved applications as well as be connected no matter what the distance or the weather conditions are.

The vessels will benefit from data and voice communications facilities from/to fleet and offices, for crew and passengers and the possibility of use prepaid cards, GSM, Wi-Fi or the possibility of valued added services like centralized management, video conferencing, tele-medicine, tele-diagnostics, video surveillance and controlling

A special feature of this equipment is that in case of signal lack, the antenna system on board will automatically change the satellite using a backup one, in the same way, when the vessel is at the border of the footprint, antenna will track automatically the new satellite.

Highly Mobile Satellite Internet System

Mobile broadband satellite internet can be used in different locations, representing a safe, sure and secure way to make data transfers, video streaming (if audio/video surveillance is the case) or, in general words satellite communications, especially in disadvantageous areas where a communication system is not available, like construction sites, work platforms, outside city areas, and in general, areas where informational access is reduced, or in calamity zones.

The professional broadband two way fixed satellite internet service features maximum transfer rates and minimal costs, in all covered areas. The connection QoS can be customized, depending on each client's necessity (different content ratio). Once implemented, the two way satellite internet equipment is able to transmit the information (together with the relevant collateral devices) by Wi-fi (wireless transmissions) existent telephone lines or even CPL (through the electrical network).
