Landau–Kleffner syndrome (LKS), also called infantile acquired aphasia, acquired epileptic aphasia or aphasia with convulsive disorder, is a rare, childhood neurological syndrome

It is named for William Landau
and Frank Kleffner
, who characterized it in 1957.
