History
In 2006, as a response to the rapidly growing area around Landsborough station, the Queensland Government announced that it would be radically upgrading the station, with the "north coast" region expected to grow by 150,000 by 2016. The A$2.4m (US$2.2m, £1.33m) renovation was completed in late 2007, and included the building of new facilities, including new platforms, rainwater tanks, shelters, lighting, and toilets; a new cark park was also built. These upgrades are part of a A$275m overhaul of the Caboolture-Landsborough corridor, which includes realigning and duplicating tracks, as well as providing sidings for increased reliability and punctuality. However, only the first phase of this project has been completed (between Caboolture and Beerburrum).Location
