Lathrop State Park is a Colorado
state park. Out of the 42 State Parks in Colorado, Lathrop State Park was the very first State Park in Colorado and is named after Harold Lathrop, the first park commissioner. The park features 2 lakes, Martin Lake and Horseshoe Lake, that offer gold medal fishing (Horseshoe Lake has the state record for Tiger Muskie). Rainbow Trout, Large Mouth Bass, Catfish(HUGE) Perch, Crappie, and Wiper are just a few of the other species that have been growing in these lakes for over 50 years.

making Lathrop State Park the only with an adjacent spectacular golf course with a restaurant/lounge overlooking the Lakes and the National Landmark Spanish Peaks!
Over one million visitors pass through Lathrop State Park every year.
