Laureate International Universities (LIU) is a global network of more than 50 for-profit , accredited campus-based and online institutions of higher education offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs to more than 550,000 students around the world. LIU spans 21 countries and more than 100 campuses throughout North America

. Founded in 1998, LIU offers more than 130 career-focused, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degree programs in business, education, engineering, information technology, law, and medicine. In addition, multiple institutions in the LIU network, known as "Centers of Excellence," collaborate through programs in education, health sciences, hospitality, architecture, art and design, and culinary arts. In April 2010, former President Bill Clinton
became honorary chancellor of Laureate International Universities.

Through Laureate Centers of Excellence in health sciences, LIU offers medical and health sciences programs to 65,000 students in 10 countries, 17 institutions, 57 cities, and 62 campuses and online. More than 49,000 students around the world are pursuing degrees in education at Laureate Centers of Excellence in Education. More than 34,000 students worldwide are enrolled in Laureate programs in architecture, art, and design.Social Responsibility
Laureate Education supports more than 100 nonprofit organizations through the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation. Through its partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative, Laureate provides scholarships internationally.
