Lauren Scala is a television and web video host based in New York City. She currently serves as the traffic reporter on WNBC
's Today in New York and the host of WNBC's Megaphone Interactive Trivia Game on Weekend Today in New York in the 9am broadcast. Scala hosts a half hour show called Don't Miss This in collaboration with Time Out New York Magazine and New York Nonstop
where she is spotted around town highlighting very desirable events and venues throughout the five boroughs. She also hosts New York Nonstop's Great American Health Challenge, a fitness-themed competition show. She began her hosting career at Time Out New York On Demand, where she also worked as an associate producer on several hundred New York City based lifestyle video segments before the channel concluded. She was the co-host of NYCTV's entertainment news roundup City Scoop until January 2010. Scala has hosted pieces for Yahoo!
