Laurent Aïello (born 23 May 1969 in Fontenay-aux-Roses
, France
) is a race car driver.
In 1990 he won the Monaco Grand Prix Formula Three support race. His two seasons in International Formula 3000 were not successful however, and though he won the French Formula Three Championship
. 2005 was his final competitive season. In 1992 he switched to tin-tops the next year, never racing a single seater again.
He has won four touring car
championships during his career – French Supertouring Championship
in 1994, followed by the German Super Tourenwagen Cup
in 1997. In his debut and only year in the British Touring Car Championship
in 1999, he won the championship in a works Nissan Primera
. He won his fourth title in 2002, in Germany's premier touring car event, the DTM
. In 1998 he also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans
