In 2009 he directed WART and ANOREXIA. Storia di un’immagine (Eng. ‘ANOREXIA. History of an image’). Both films went on to receive their international premiers at the Locarno Film Festival and the Miami International Film Festival, and competed for the David di Donatello Award in the short films (WART) and documentaries categories (ANOREXIA. Storia di un’immagine) respectively.
For many years Emede worked with Nicolò Cerioni, with whom he founded SUGARKANE Productions, a company that has made videos for such high-profile names as Jovanotti, Gianluca Grignani, Matteo Becucci, Luca Carboni, The Gossip, Gianna Nannini, Giusy Ferreri, L'Aura, Giorgia.

For Milan based publishers Bompiani, Emede directed the DVD of the show ZOLFO (Eng. ‘Sulphur’) featuring John De Leo. A concert based on texts by Leonardo Sciascia to celebrate Bompiani’s 80 years of publishing, it appeared as an insert to Panta80 Fedeli ed infedeli (Eng. ‘Panta 80. The Faithful and the Unfaithful’).
In the summer of 2010 he produced JOVANIGHTS, a documentary that follows Lorenzo Jovanotti’s California Tour and is the perfect sequel to Tutto l’amore che ho – Making the video (Eng.: ‘All the love I have – Making the video’), a one-hour documentary that tells the background story of the most expensive music video in recent years in Italy.
In 2011 he created another documentary: TELESIO

Among his latest music videos are Il più grande spettacolo dopo il Big Bang (Eng. ‘The biggest show after the Big Bang’), which is the third track on the cd ORA by Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini, now released as a single, and Fare le valigie (Eng. ‘To pack your bags’) by Luca Carboni, produced and directed by SUGARKANE Productions.

He is currently working as Director of the DVD of the ORA Tour by Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini
