central midfielder who currently plays for Welling United in the Blue Square South. He is the son of former Northern Ireland
international Colin Clarke.
Clarke started his career at Yaxley
, then moved to Peterborough United
where he made several appearances. He then moved to St Albans City
, where he was the top scorer for two seasons in the Conference South
and was vital in their promotion to the Conference National
in 2006.
He has won five caps for the Northern Ireland U21

On 2 April 2009, Clarke had his contract cancelled by mutual consent because of his nagging knee injury that prevented him from playing for most of the season.
In May 2009, he signed for Welling United.
He was voted supporters' player of the season at the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
