Leesville Road High School has consistently ranked as a North Carolina School of Distinction. Its most recent ranking was in the 2005-2006 school year. Leesville offers its students a wide variety of advanced and 14 Advanced Placement courses in various subjects. At various Leesville Road sporting events (especially football games), LRHS students adorned in all manners of green attire line the sidelines as the Leesville Loonies, the adoring fans of the Pride.

Their Girls soccer team were ranked 1st in the country in 2010 (Coached by Paul Dinkenor).

The Leesville complex

Leesville Road High School is physically connected to Leesville Road Elementary School and Leesville Road Middle School, forming what is commonly called the Leesville Complex.http://les.wcpss.net/index.htm The three schools are also linked by their mascots. The mascot for the high school is the Pride, a pack of lions. The elementary and middle school mascots are Cubs and Lions, respectively.
