On their 2003 follow up effort to Social Icon, 42 Ways to Lose a Friend, LFT continued with their catchy, high-energy pop punk. With the single "Cheaters", and even a country themed song, "For What It Means to You", featuring a steel guitar solo. 42 Ways to Lose a Friend was engineered at Zone Studios in Atlanta by local producer and mixer Billy Hume.

However shortly after signing with Red Eye Records, LFT decided to call it quits. They played their final show at the 40-watt club in Athens, Georgia
