. Len grew up playing hockey with his childhood friend Wayne Gretzkey. Len left the NHL in 2001 to play a bit of hockey in Europe and then devote the rest of his life to his family.

His parents are Gary Lawerence Hachborn and Lil Hachborn who still reside in Brantford Ontario.
