, at an altitude of 80 m (approx.). This town is bordered by the Cosson in the north, through the Beuvron. To the west of the village, the Bièvre flows into Beuvron. At this point, there are numerous beavers.

Marcelle The Laurain, whose parents remained at the castle in Frileuse was a model of the artist. A painting representing her was bequeathed by Mrs. Jean Angelo (born Laurain) to the museum of Blois. It represents her in an elegant pink silk dress.
