Leslie Jones is an American film editor with more than a dozen film credits and nominations for several major film editing awards.
Jones is the daughter of the film editor Robert C. Jones
and the granddaughter of the editor Harmon Jones, each of whom has been nominated for an Academy Award for editing. Early in her career, Jones was the assistant editor for her father on two films (See No Evil, Hear No Evil
(1989), The Babe
(1992)). She had several editing credits in the early 1990s for independent films and documentaries, and was the associate editor (with editor Billy Weber
) on Grumpier Old Men
(1995). Her first editing credit on a major studio film was for Murder at 1600
(1997), which she co-edited with Weber.
