Lester Square is the lead guitarist for The Monochrome Set
. He also sings backing vocals, designed some of the band's record sleeves, and co-wrote much of their music. He had previously been in the original incarnation of Adam and the Ants

Also in collaboration with McCookerybook, he composed soundtrack music for the channel 4 documentaries 'Pictures of Women' and 'No-one Likes Us, We Don't Care', Akiko Hada's 1991 parable on the fall of the Berlin wall, 'The Fall of a Queen, or the Taste of the Fruit to Come.' Hardy is currently head of the art and design faculty at North London Collegiate School
. He teaches GCSE and A-level/International Baccalaureate students. In 2011, he became Hertfordshire's first Green councillor.
