s along the Queensland coast. They are also found in southern Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

Grass Emperor are browny-grey with darker brown blotches and streaks along their sides. They have olive cheeks covered with white speckles, their pectoral fins are tinged with blue and all other fins are tinged with pink. They also have fine blue lines radiating from the eyes, with some crossing the snout. Grass Emperor can grow up to 70 cm (5.6 kg).
