He signed for Bohemians in 1990 and broke into the first team, making his league debut against Derry City
on 2 September of that year. Played for the Republic of Ireland national football team
at the 1991 FIFA World Youth Championship http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/statisticsandrecords/players/player=161520/index.html and impressed sufficiently enough to be snapped up by St. Johnstone. He did well in his first season in Scotland but didn't fit into the plans of new manager John McClelland the next season so Eamonn Gregg
brought him back to Bohs. He only had a short spell on his return to Bohs and after 38 league games with 2 goals, he moved to Belfast
