The Liberal Party was a liberal
Spanish political party.
It was part of the Democratic Centre Union until 1983, when it aligned itself with the Popular Alliance
(AP) and the Democratic Popular Party
(PDP). These three parties formed the Popular Coalition for the 1986 elections
.
In 1989 the party, along with AP and PDP, merged to form the new Popular Party
(PP).
