Life Fitness is a fitness equipment company that specializes in the production and distribution of equipment such as the stationary bike and treadmill.
They developed the industries first electronic stationary bike. The founders Ray Wilson and Augle Nieto came across a Dr. Keene P. Dimmick who had developed the worlds first electric stationary exercise bike. In 1970 Ray and Augle bought the rights to Dr. Dimmick's design and went on to release it as the LifeCycle.
Life Fitness was acquired by Brunswick Corporation
in June 1997 .
