History
The Lift For Life Academy building once was a bank in 1903. Marshall Cohen then bought the building to start the first charter school with his goal to start a school so that kids can have a future to look up to. Lift For Life Academy opened in 1998 starting with 88 students which was lead by JoAnn Perkins, the first principal. After years of believing and praying, Lift For Life eventually expanded to a highschool in the year of 2008-2009.SEMO
