and 43 miles west of Chicago. The village is part of the Chicago metro area. It was incorporated as a village on November 6, 1990. The population was 993 at the 2010 census, up from 825 at the 2000 census.

There were 252 households out of which 55.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.2% were married couples
living together, 5.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.3% were non-families. 9.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.27 and the average family size was 3.55.
In the village the population was spread out with 34.1% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 5.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 114.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.4 males.

History
The lake in Lily Lake no longer exists. When the town paved its roadways in the 1930s, it drained the small lake to its south. Lily Lake began as a milk stop when dairy farmers shipped their products to Chicago on the Great Western Railroad (established in 1885).Demographics
