The Limburg Science Park is a business incubator

. The organisation was founded in 1989 at the initiative of the University of Hasselt, the Board of the Provincial Government and the Regional Development Society Limburg. In 1992, the incubator was founded with ten spaces for laboratories and eight offices to provide an infrastructure for starting companies active in the high-tech field. This was completed with the Passage Building, which is a complete building for hire, for larger enterprises which are either new or have outgrown the incubator.
