The debate team won the Bruno E. Jacob Award
at the 2007 NFL Nationals Speech and Debate Tournament in Wichita, Kansas. The policy debate team from Lincoln composed of Ana O'Hara and Jackson Erpenbach won the NCFL Grand National tournament in May 2011 held in Washington, D.C. In July 2008, Lincoln held their first Annual Middle School Speech and Debate Camp, designed to introduce middle school students and incoming freshmen to forensic competition. Lincoln High School prides itself in being a constant tournament winner.

JrROTC (Marine Corp)
Lincoln High Schools JrROTC program is affiliated with the United States Marine Corp and is involved in flag ceremonies for many of the Patriot's sporting events. They're also involved in the community hosting many ceremonies for the American Legion and VFW organizations in Sioux Falls. The JrROTC program also has an award winning drill team that competes all over the state of South Dakota and in the Midwest.Marching band
The 2011 Lincoln High School Patriot Marching Band consists of 238 members, composed of winds, brass, color guard, front ensemble, and drumline. The band performs in regional field competitions and street competitions. Sioux Falls Lincoln has enjoyed consecutive undefeated seasons in 2005 and 2006, with the shows "Revolución" and "Carnaval", respectively. The Lincoln High School Drumline enjoyed six consecutive years undefeated from 2001 to 2007, and both concert percussion and drumline went undefeated in 2011. The Sioux Falls Lincoln High School DECA program consists of students pursuing a strong future in business and marketing. Lincoln DECA has always been the top performer at the South Dakota DECA State Career & Development Conference. Last year Lincoln DECA sent the most DECA students from South Dakota to the International Career & Development Conference in Louisville, KY. This year Lincoln DECA students competed at State in late February for the chance to go and compete at this year's ICDC in Orlando, Florida.
