Description

The Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls is a non-professional team of skaters, run by the skaters themselves, with roles open to anyone in the team. Many of the teams members come into the sport with skills from administration experience, to graphic designers, artists, musicians and web designers, all pooling together to help form the team.

Lincolnshire Bombers were one of the founding members of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association(UKRDA), with team members still involved, sitting on the current Board of the Association.

The team are often found at many events in and around Lincoln, helping the community and helping promote local businesses as well as spreading the name and sport in aid of recruitment, and traveling across the country to help fledgling teams with training ideas and skill development.

The Lincolnshire Bombers are sponsored by many local and national companies including Motörhead, Nutcase Helmets and Beadasaurus.

These girls are so mean that if they moved in next door, not only would your lawn die, but they’d kick yer ass too!". 2009 also saw the team host the Carnival of the Strange, in which a men's roller derby team competed for the first time in the UK.
