Longhua Line of Shenzhen Metro
Shenzhen Metro
The Shenzhen Metro is the subway or underground system for the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province, China. The system opened on 28 December 2004, making Shenzhen the seventh city in mainland China to have a subway after Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dalian, and Wuhan. The Shenzhen...

 runs northward from Futian Checkpoint (Futiankouan) to Qinghu. Trains operate at 8 minute frequencies at all times. There are electronic signboard system which display estimated train arrival times.

Operation by MTR

The Longhua Line's operation and management was handed over to MTR Shenzhen on July 1, 2010 under a BOT

Upon MTR's takeover, elements of the existing stations were modified to match MTR Hong Kong's styles, such as changing of lighting, station maps and signs, posters and the introduction of station art similar to those found on MTR's Hong Kong stations. English station names were also modified (i.e. 'Fu tian kou an' changed to 'Futian Checkpoint') for easier Western recognition, and staff uniform and help desks were also changed to match the styles seen in MTR Hong Kong.

The English font type and tickets remain unchanged.
