At year 2011 Arequipa metropolitan area according to document called '"PLAN DIRECTOR DE AREQUIPA 2002 – 2015" approved in november 14 of 2002, is formed by 17 urban districts which are : Arequipa, Alto Selva alegre, Cayma, Cerro colorado, Jacobo hunter, José Luís Bustamante y Rivero, Mariano Melgar, Miraflores, Paucarpata, Sabandia, Sachaca, Socabaya, Tiabaya Yanahuara, Characato, Uchumayo and Yura

At year 2011 Chiclayo metropolitan area according to document “Modernización De La Gestión Del Desarrollo Urbano De La Provincia De Chiclayo” is formed by 12 urban districts which are : Chiclayo, Eten, Leonardo Ortiz, La Victoria, Monsefú, Pimentel, Pomalca, Puerto Eten, Reque, Santa Rosa, Lambayeque y San José.
